Introduction
Picup(Our sister company), a last-mile delivery and technology-focused company, is seeking highly organized and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Zone Planner to play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our driver fleet within designated delivery zones. The primary responsibilities include driver planning, driver supply management, slot management, coordination with infield supervisors, and reporting/dashboard maintenance.
Job description

Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Understanding and working with client forecasting and historical data to to plan driver
  • supply per zone
  • Slot creation and management within designated zones
  • Implementation of store time changes and updates where required
  • Planning and coordination of store launches
  • Manage driver replacements as needed
  • Initiate driver requirements/activations via the Training Centres based on requirements
  • Collaborate with Infield Supervisors to determine driver coverage requirements
  • Plan exclusion zones in coordination with Infield Supervisors
  • Collaborate with Delivery Team regarding supply challenges and business risk
  • Develop and maintain dashboards highlighting dropped and open slots
  • Track and report on driver attendance and performance
  • Track and report on zone/store performance
  • Track and report on driver non-conformance (e.g. branding etc)
  • Monitor slot withdraws and reasons thereof
  • Analyze and report on zone slot adoption rates

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 or Equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (not required but beneficial).
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills, with experience coordinating field operations or logistics within a defined geographic area.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including using spreadsheets, dashboards, or planning tools to interpret operational metrics and drive decisions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, technical, and customer-facing teams.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities, including prioritizing tasks under time pressure and managing unexpected operational changes.
  • Comfort with technology platforms and SaaS solutions; experience in fleet management, telematics, or related industries is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in documentation, work orders, and resource allocation records.
