Introduction
Picup (Our sister company), a last-mile delivery and technology-focused company is looking for a Driver Administrator. The Driver Administrator is responsible for ensuring efficient recruitment, onboarding, administrative oversight, and ongoing operational support for drivers. This role focuses on maintaining accurate records, managing driver queries, tracking system workflows, and ensuring performance compliance to maintain operational excellence. The role requires a strong combination of organisational, communication, and administrative skills.
Job description

Key responsibilities:
 
Recruitment and Onboarding
●    Manage the end-to-end driver recruitment process, including scheduling interviews and assessments.
●    Oversee document vetting and validation to ensure full compliance with company and legal standards.
●    Coordinate activations for new drivers, ensuring complete operational readiness.

Administration and Documentation
●    Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of driver profiles and document changes.
●    Track and manage cost recovery processes related to driver onboarding.
 
System and Gear Management
●    Utilize Freshworks to track, manage, and resolve driver queries and operational tasks.
●    Oversee the issuing, tracking, and auditing of gear to ensure proper allocation and inventory maintenance.

Performance and Compliance
●    Conduct regular audits to assess driver compliance with operational standards.
●    Address driver misconduct and facilitate feedback or corrective action as necessary.
●    Perform gear audits to maintain accountability and inventory accuracy.

 Operational Support
●    Facilitate driver communication to ensure alignment with company policies and updates.
●    Support operations by addressing day-to-day administrative challenges and driver needs.

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
  • Tertiary qualification (advantageous).
  • 2–5 years' HR/ Recruitment admin experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to remain flexible and resilient under changing work conditions.
