Job description
- Work alongside a website master to develop and maintain 23 corporate websites globally, as well as landing pages used to support performance marketing strategies.
- Implement SEO best practices and work with the SEO team to ensure a user-friendly and fully optimised website – Optimise applications for maximum speed, scalability, SEO and responsiveness.
- Debug and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Stay up-to-date with strategies used for websites to increase goal conversions such as lead generation.
- Develop custom code and implement proficient tracking as needed.
- Design, develop, manage and build using Webflow/WordPress.
- Expert understanding of interaction, usability and visual design principles and the tools used to produce these.
- Ensure implementations follow web standards, accessibility, and usability best practices.
- Deep experience with Webflow/WordPress (including their CMS collections) and constantly staying up-to-date with product improvements.
- Website management – general maintenance and security.
- Manage applicable DevOps processes for multiple websites.
- Exceptional in custom WordPress, HTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript code for existing websites.
- Document all website changes.
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate
- Applicable tertiary diploma or degree will be beneficial.
- 5 years’ of experience working on Back-end Web Development.
- Google Analytics (Universal and G4) and Google Tag Manager knowledge
- Web Development requirements: CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP
- Experience with JavaScript, Wordpress, Webflow, Drupal, HTML, CSS, PHP, Bootstrap 5 and Programming
- Experience with Design Elements UI/UX
- Experience with Hosting and Migrations of Websites including Programming Tools and DevOps
- Attention to detail and highly organised
- Able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
- Possess a proven ability to emphathise with and build solutions for users
