Introduction
Cartrack, a world-leading smart mobility Software-as-a-Service tech company operating across 23 countries, is looking for a reliable Payroll Administrator to organize, process, co-ordinate and maintain the company’s payroll by accurately calculating earnings and deductions in accordance with established practices and guidelines of Cartrack.
Job description
• Maintain payroll by processing and capturing all relevant data with regards to new engagements, overtime, leave, allowances, terminations and redundancy calculations etc.
• Attend to changes to personnel records i.e. promotions, deductions, transfers, medical aid and updates from salary sheets and schedules
• Process payslips before the 15th of every month
• Ensure tax validations are clear on a regular basis
• Prepare month-end reconciliation report and ensure payment of creditors/statutory payments
• Verify leave in accordance with company policy and ensure that leave procedures are being followed
• Check correctness of application, i.e. sick notes etc.
• Capture all types of leave applications and maintain leave balances
• Advise the Payroll Manager and/or the Human Capital Director of any suspected leave abuse
• Distribute updated leave balances to Management
• Attend to staff leave queries & Prepare leave reports

Minimum requirements
• Grade 12 Senior Certificate
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field – advantageous
• Minimum 4-5 years payroll experience within large or complex payrolls (multi-site or multi-entity).
• Minimum 4-5 years Sage 300 experience
• 2 years MS Office (Excel Intermediate)
• Knowledge of South African payroll and tax legislation (PAYE, UIF, SDL, BCEA and WCA).
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Reliable and trustworthy with confidential information.
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field – advantageous
• Minimum 4-5 years payroll experience within large or complex payrolls (multi-site or multi-entity).
