Purpose: To identify training needs and gaps in the Accounts department and design, plan & implement suitable training programmes, coaching interventions, policies, and procedures that enhance employees’ skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work. The successful candidate would need to also create and manage a yearly training calendar for the Debtors’ department
Job description
Responsibility:
- Identify training needs through surveys, formal training request process, consultations with team managers, and feedback from performance appraisals.
- Reviewing QA feedback to identify trends that need to be addressed through training interventions
- Assess skills competence requirements of team members at all levels
- Develop and implement a skills gap analysis tool to identify skills competence and gaps thereof
- Develop proficiency and critical skills structures on all levels
- Define roles and responsibilities for team members
- Engage with main training department to animate training content and make it available on Moodle for ease of access for team members
- Develop, implement, and review new training content as required
- Continuously review current training content, programmes and/or models and if need be, develop and implement new content
- Maintain a database of training materials, including YouTube videos, training tools, presentations, modules, etc.
- Develop Accounts department onboarding programmes for new recruits at all levels
- Ensure training content is kept up to date and in adherence to modern training best practices
- Oversee the onboarding process for new recruits in the accounts department
- Facilitate and monitor training interventions across the Accounts department
- Record all training interventions on training registers and training report
- Provide all managers with feedback on training conducted
- Co-ordinate attendance of all formal training programmes.
- Identify internal and external training programmes to upskill team members and improve proficiency at critical skills
- Establish ways in with training retention can be ascertained
- Conduct quarterly TSI surveys will all non-management colleagues
- Implement corrective measures to optimize training delivery
Minimum requirements
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
- National Certificate in OD ETDP (NQ5) – Preference but not required
- Registered Trainer, Assessor, Moderator with MERSETA – Preference but not required
- Previous Facilitator / Training Officer Experience
