Job description
- Coordinate leave and attendance of employees
- Be responsible for the processing of transactions, attending to queries, system issues, ESS matters and general queries to ensure timeous monthly completion of payroll
- Facilitate Department of Labour audits as applicable to payroll
- Attend to all Auditor requirements, quarterly or when required
- Oversee administration of Employee Benefits, such as Group Life and Provident Fund
- Ensure compliance with all regulations - government, SARS, company policies etc.
- Assist the Payroll Manager with the checking of data integrity prior to the transfer of salaries
- Assist the Payroll Manager with all mid-year and year-end procedures and requirements such as company recons, EMP501's and submissions etc.
- Monthly validations and reconciliations
- Monthly payroll recons
- Daily payroll processing
- Filing
- Ad hoc duties, when required
- Willing to work overtime as and when required to ensure that deadlines are met
Minimum requirements
- National Senior Certificate/Grade 12
- Degree or Diploma in HR will be an advantage
- VIP Payroll and/or Sage 300 People
- Minimum of 2 - 5 years' experience as a Payroll Administrator in a medium to large corporate
- Advanced/expert-level Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail
